Motion Design | Visual Direction | Editorial Storytelling

For Sky News’ investigative feature on aviation GPS spoofing, I was responsible for designing and animating the key explainer diagram at the heart of the story. The goal was to make a highly technical, invisible threat instantly understandable to a general audience- and visually compelling.

The animation breaks down how rogue signals can mislead commercial aircraft, echoing the unsettling tone of the article while maintaining editorial clarity. Alongside the motion work, I helped shape the visual identity of the piece alongside a talented team- from colour palette and typography to layout cues- creating a cohesive and authoritative look in line with Sky’s Data & Forensics storytelling.

This project blended creative problem-solving with fast-turnaround production- translating complex data into intuitive, high-impact visuals designed to cut through the noise.
